Films that inspired Best Pirate Games Android
August 14, 2023

Welcome back mateys, this week we will talk about which films have influenced Pirate’s Boom Boom, the new mobile game for Android and iOS. As weird as it sounds, games, films, books and other media constantly influence and reinforce each other. In our case, there are probably several interesting films or animated films that really influenced, though deep down this game. This makes Pirate Boom Boom one of the best pirate games ios.

Since our background is films, commercials and animated features, we enjoy taking our experience as writers and directors to tell the story of Pirate and his friend. Their interesting dynamic constantly challenges us to create interesting scenarios and situations to establish and further develop their character arcs. We think that this is something is missing quite a lot from current entertainment, because a good character arc, or an interesting one is actually very hard to accomplish, without it feeling forced or unnatural. So, which films have influenced us and helped us create one of the best pirate video games.

Well, a long time I wrote about this old Russian cartoon influencing me in 9th grade, that was a long time ago, so I guess I will have to write about it again. The name of the film is “Treasure Island”, it is the Soviet take on Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel by the same name. What’s interesting is that the film has both live action and feature animation and in some ways it doesn’t make sense, but it was actually done to help the animation team meet the production schedule. The live action part is pretty forgettable and is essentially used as a filler of comedy, but the animated part features a very distorted and rounded take on the world and creates for some incredible imagery that is akin to a fisheye lens, usually used in skateboarding videos.

The animated film features a really interesting cast of characters and scenarios and is available in dubbed English. What I enjoy most about that story is how the places and locations felt very intimate due to the warping of worlds and really fast and long zoom-ins. It really captures the fun and excitement of being a Pirate and helped make the best pirate games 2023.

Another film that is probably a lot more known to the general public is of course “Pirates of the Caribbean” – this film is known worldwide and will go down as a classic franchise. The creativity in character developments and the worlds and locations that have been developed have been a super-strong influence on our development. In case you didn’t know, both Jack and myself have worked on the third film in the franchise a long time ago. The team we worked with actually won an Oscar for Water simulation and you can see our work on the last sequence when the final battle happens. It was very exciting to be part of such a team and contribute to an iconic film that later on helped shape our very own mobile game.We hope you enjoyed the little bit of trivia in this week’s post and that you get to watch the two films mentioned above. They are both very memorable to us. We hope that our game will strike the same chord with you. If you haven’t played it yet, Pirate’s Boom Boom is available on both iOS and Android now, so what are you waiting for? Download and enjoy one of the most fun pirate games, it’s free!
